Mr. Basan led several socioeconomic studies in the multidisciplinary research programmes (rice, mandarin orange, soil fertility, baseline studies of agroecological sites) at the Lumle Agricultural Research Centre, Kaski, Nepal from 1997 to 2000. Besides, he led the planning, monitoring and evaluation unit at the centre and successfully coordinated with the research programes at various stages of the programming cycle.
